Borders Independent Advocacy Service provides individual issue-based independent advocacy to people aged 16+ living in Scottish Borders. They support people subject to treatment under the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003, as well as parents of children and young people who are in receipt of social work services.
They provide independent advocacy to children and young people aged 5-18 going through children’s hearings.
They provide non-instructed independent advocacy to adults and children.
They specialise in supporting older people, people with mental ill health, learning and physical disabilities.
