SIAA Liaisons: Refresher and plans for next year

This is a session for SIAA Liaisons or members who would like to become SIAA Liaisons in their organisations. It will be especially useful for those who missed last year’s induction, or would like to know more about what it means and what it takes to be SIAA Liaison.

What can I expect?

The session will be interactive, with plenty of opportunities to contribute to the discussion. We will meet on Zoom, and use an online tool (Butter Scenes) to engage throughout. While it’s not necessary to keep the camera on, you will be encouraged to participate actively. Your input will be used to inform the way we work with SIAA Liaisons in 2025/2026.

Agenda

• Retrospective: your last year as the Liaison. What worked? What was missing? What support can we provide?
• Key engagement data: How did Members engage with SIAA? How did we work together?
• Plans for next year (peer supports, training, state of the sector survey, new ideas)
• Induction refresher (role, key asks, Liaisons’ Handbook)

Please note, the induction refresher will be done in the final 30ish minutes of the meeting, and is optional. If you’re confident in your role as the Liaison you don’t need to stay!

To join the session, please register using the Zoom link below. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email from Zoom which includes a joining link. Please make sure to keep that email! You will be reminded about the session a week before we meet, and on the day of the session as well.
