This is the first session in our wellbeing-focused peer support series. In this session, we will begin by thinking about our own individual wellbeing.

This is time out for people working in independent advocacy to have an opportunity to share their experience and learn some practical ways of supporting wellbeing at work. The session is open to everyone: individual and collective advocates, administration & support staff, managers, chief executives, volunteers, and any other worker at SIAA member organisation.

If you’re reading this, you’re invited!

The three wellbeing-focused sessions are intended as a ‘package’, though you are welcome to attend any single one, as each will be useful on its own. In the second session we will focus on how teams can work in ways that support wellbeing more directly, and the group will decide what we focus on for the final session.

Each session will include a short (10 minutes or less) presentation by our facilitator, Joette Thomas, and lots of opportunity for small and large group discussion.
